Summary

In this section, we will take an in-depth look at the primary drivers of infant mortality throughout the country and right here in Cuyahoga County. Specifically, we will examine the research related to infant mortality for African-Americans, the group that, for historical, economic and political reasons, has the highest rates.

  • Understand how structural racism impacts infant mortality
  • Hear the voices from the broader community on how they understand this issue and how the healthcare community can help to improve the current conditions
  • Understand the state of this issue within Cleveland and Ohio.
