Platform overview

our approach

We have gathered insights from women, their partners and the community at large via participatory observations, surveys, and interviews.  Each journey quest was created to advise, counsel, and guide health professionals based on the culmination of research in an evidence-based journey map.

This critical learning mission shares touch-points throughout the journey of women, their families, and their communities, as well as shows an understanding of women’s expectations and needs, stakeholder involvement, barriers, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.

The map has served as the blueprint to design a learning management system for you to better understand Latino and African-American women’s encounters from the pre-pregnancy through the postpartum period. You will also navigate the context, assets, and processes that contribute to their child’s first year of life.

This immersive learning experience will provide interactive videos, virtual and augmented explorations and interactive moments to self-reflect and build new tools to address the structural racism that occurs in all of our work environments. We hope you will find your best self and the courage to honestly reflect, absorb and build a distinctive tool kit for your utilization.

patient journey map

A journey map provides a well-rounded synopsis of touch-points a person may have with any given experience. Our journey map is a patient journey map offering a holistic overview of touch-points a person has with the healthcare system. Journey maps provide everyone a voice within the environment of a larger contextualized narrative. We have utilized this format to share the views of women and men from Greater Cleveland, as they have recounted their experience and the impact of racism in the healthcare system.

IMMERSIVE LEARNING

Our aim is to provide an enriched learning experience through controlled, interactive, and simulated environments. We have developed these immersive technologies to deliver a new holistic immersive learning experience.
